This was a great movie, I laughed so much, it had so much unforcastable action, It was great. You definitely should stay for after all the credit part for another chuckle. I hardly see a movie in the theater twice, and I'm going to go again. I just hope a part two keep this momentum up.

OMG ! My 15 year old and I went to one of the midnight shows. I'm 60 years old and I had a blast! My husband was a true comic book geek and he had been talking about this movie since he attended Comic-Con. He passed away last year. He would have loved it. I heard him in my ear the entire time I was watching. Go see it. It was a great ride.

At some point or another, most comic book fans have wondered who was the strongest superhero of them all, who would beat who in a fight, or what would happen if so-and-so met what's-his-name. The Avengers is the film answer to those types of musings. The groundwork (ie origins/back-story) having been laid in other films (Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Hulk), this film focuses on bringing our heroes together, ripping them apart, then having them learn how to work as a team to take down their common enemy. While someone unfamiliar with the characters might be lost, I think the movie's straightforwardness, great action scenes, and humor will more than make up for that. As for comic book fans, I think this'll give them all they've ever wanted to see in a comic book movie, and then some. To be completely honest, despite disliking most superhero comics nowadays, The Avengers succeeded in reminding me what I loved about superheroes as a kid.

Saw this at the midnight showing with an ultra-enthusiastic audience and it was the best 2.5 hours of viewing pleasure I've had in a long time. Great casting, great direction and amazing dialog. It's great when you can tell a filmmaker loves what they're working on. Whedon and the cast respect the material and because of that, they are able to bring a depth to these larger than life characters without it becoming a joke. Stay till the end. Seriously. Like the end-end. You will be rewarded. Trust me.

Let me begin by saying that I am not a big super-hero person. I grew up overseas where the caped crusader, the spider freak, and angry green man did not exist. Going into this movie I expected to hear a lot of cheesy lines, cliche fighting sequences, and a mediocre story. I found none of these to be true. This movie was fantastic from beginning to end. From Tony Starks' witty jokes, to Hulks' socially awkward charm, everything was perfect. The action sequences were packed with things that you would only think of if you were trying to come up with something epic. Overall, this movie just leaves you with a "Glad-I-Saw-that-movie" Feeling. I think this movie is a HULK SMASHING SUCCESS. But all I could chose was "Must Go!"
